Innocence

Capturing the joy of childhood never seems to be an impossible task when it comes to my little brother Jackson. Always wanting to go back to a more simple time, when the "stars were still just wholes to heaven," and the great times felt like they would never end, I find myself persistently capturing the unique world of a child through his eyes. Serenity

Living in Florida, we have our fair share of Sand Hill Cranes,  about the equivalent  to the Canadian Goose for those who are from the North. Once having lived in Buffalo, NY I understand the nuisance these birds can cause; but when taking a closer look, one can truly see the beauty in even the most trying of creatures. This photo was taken at the waterfront of a local lake right here in central florida. The crisp morning sunrise offered a refreshing accent to the already breathtaking scenery.

A Different Perspective

Upon taking this photo I was in the midst of a hail storm standing on the foothills of the front range for the Colorado Rockies. It exemplifies the profound sense of majesty the world has over its residents. Almost making one feel insignificant while simultaneously giving them a grand sense of strength, the mountains of Colorado really seem to put things in perspective and embed humility into the strongest of people.

A Diamond in the Rough

When first catching glance of this shot; it really opened my eyes to the notion that beauty really can be found in the most unexpected of places. I loved how the contrast in color made this beautiful orchid so conspicuous to the ominous nature of its surroundings. A flower representing life in an otherwise withering world.
